“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”

    I make mistakes all the time. My mom says life always throws you curve balls. Its how you handle them that counts. I like your post.

    1. I make a lot of mistakes too, Adam, but each time I do, I learn something from them and move on. I ask myself what I can do to improve for the next time, and then I make a plan and set a goal. I get to work and put in the time and effort to try to achieve my goal. Your mom is right about life because things don’t always go as planned sometimes. But instead of feeling sorry for ourselves, we should try to face the challenge head on and overcome the obstacle. Thanks for your reply because it made me think further about the quote!

Life is very hard it is like a war, but we have to choose our path and do what is needed because if we give up on our life, we would not have a good life so we have to face it and go through all challenges and overcome the obstacles. Well we live with what we done and do good things in the future. My mom and dad say do right things and change what you done before so we have to fix our mistakes but learn from them.

  17. Its really true making mistakes are good . But my mom said making mistakes are only good if you fix them . If you don’t you’ll never learn from them. So if you make a mistake just remember to fix them.

  29. when I was younger, I thought mistakes were horrible but now that I am older and I read that poem, I am now much more confident of making mistakes

    1. I completely agree with you, Jamal. Laughing at each other would probably prevent others from trying and taking a risk again. Remember to treat others the way you would want to be treated.

  37. when we are all in grad 7 were going to make mistakes even when I made the goals thing i made A LOT OF mistakes I said in my head its a part of LIFE TO MAKE MISTAKES and i LOVE French and i made mistakes
