I hope you are enjoying our unit on Electricity and ‘playing’ with the bulbs, batteries and wires to figure out how it all works. There is still so much to learn including how electricity is made and how we can use it wisely. A few weeks ago, you tracked all of the activities that you do in a day that use electricity. Have you ever thought about the amount of electricity that one household uses? Or a building like a school? How is that electricity created and how does it get to places? What does electricity cost and how is it measured? Ask your parents if you can have a look at one of your hydro bills. What does it tell you? Why is the name of the company called BC Hydro?
