Speed Stacking Challenge
The Speed Stacking Challenge is coming up soon and I hope you will be ready for the event on Thursday. Perhaps you have your own set of cups at home or maybe you are simply using a set of plastic drinking cups that you have in the cupboard. Regardless of what you choose to use, practice will help you improve your skills and get faster! Next week, we will have one more DPA period to try the 3-6-3 and full cycles. I look forward to getting better alongside of you too! To have a look at some ‘how to’ videos, click on the picture below!

I really love speed stacking and I think I am good at it although I sometimes fail. I am really exited and nervous about the speed stacking challenge.
Mrs. Mann, are we going to learn the full cycle? The one where you do the 3 6 3 and then the 6 6….. and so on
Yes, we will try to do the full cycle, if not now, then at some point during the school year. I am sure that you will be able to do it!
I love to do speed stacking. Maya is right I also mess up and fail . But I mostly mess up when I am racing other people. I hope to improve mostly on my cycle before the speed stacking challenge.
I do agree with you Maddie, I usually mess up when I am racing people because I want to win and I think about winning more than consentraition . Now I will try to consentrate more than always thinking about winning.
I’m wondering how many stackers stacked in one day.
For 2013 they had 555,932 stackers.
For 2014 they had 592,232 stackers.
For 2015 they’re aiming for 610,000 stackers.
I guess there will be about 628,568 stackers.
Wow that’s really cool Nicholas, speed stacking helps you concentrate and think I really like speed stacking I have cups at home and I practise a lot. It’s like they say practise makes perfect
Couldn’t you speed stack with normal plastic cups?
I love speed stacking! It’s so much fun. Even though I’m not that fast I practice to get better.
Me too, Speed stacking is fun and crazy you have to be fast.
I love speed stacking.
I don’t think that you can speed stack with normal cups because they don’t really have the right shape. Long time ago, I tried stacking with normal cups but I don’t even remember if it worked! I should try it again and tell you guys or maybe you can try it and we could compare our observations!
well, it depends, Aly. But normal cups are easier to be knocked down because they are lighter, and not as sturdy.
Speed stacking is awesome but i’m not very good but I still love it
I don’t like speed stacking very much. I like more sports where there less rules and there is more physicality, such as hockey obviously or maybe football or basketball. Where you need to know what your doing rather stacking a couple of cups as fast as you can.
I never hear of cup stacking in America. When I came to mrs.mann class and we did cup stacking I was so confused of what it was. now I learned 2 thing 3-6-3 and 1-10-1
When we did the speed stacking challenge I was so into it , now I practice everyday to get faster . It’s so fun I absolute love speed stacking!
Speed stacking is fun and good for your brain because you work on your I hand coordination and for you quick hands.
I am not sure if you can speed stack with normal cups. If you do you will need light cups definitely not glass probably plastic cups would be best. But they have to be the same size.
Cup stacking a good sport .I try vary fast. And its exercises my brain when I stack.
that’s right Maya you cant use normal cups
Jorja and Maya are right. Once I tried to do it with normal cups but it diddent work
its mostly about concentration and having fun! The speed is hard to learn during speed stacking but in order to get your speed right is to practice . That’s how I learned it. Yes Adriel you are right. Speed stacking does exercise your brain. I LOVE doing it! How about you guys?
