In Flanders Field, a poem penned by John McCrae, is a part of Remembrance Day ceremonies in Canada and other countries every year. John McCrae was a Canadian doctor and a teacher who served in World War One and the South African War. His poem symbolizes all who sacrificed their lives fighting for all of the freedoms that we enjoy today. What do you think of this poem? What do your think it means? What does Remembrance Day mean to you?

  1. remembrance day means a lot to me. My great grandfather on my moms side went to world war 2 when he was 30. Unfortunately he didn’t survive it and my grandpa has never met him either, he only has pictures of him.
