Your Brain and Your Emotions

Your Brain and Your Emotions

I hope you found our Class Meeting/HACE class interesting and though-provoking. If you would like to watch the video again, it is down below along with another one on the brain and how it works. It even explains the electrical pathways in our brains. We also discussed some ways you can calm the amygdala when it gets hijacked. Try some out and see what works for you. What are some strategies that you use when you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, or upset? Do you find that our conversations about our brains and emotions are helping you to understand yourself and behaviour better?

  1. When I am angry I like to breathe in my own room and think bout the problem. I understand now why I get angry. The electrical pathways known as nerves make me fight, flee, or freeze. I look forward to learning more about our emotions and the brain. I think instead of having only 1 class meeting and hace every in 2 weeks,we should combine hace and class meeting and do both EVERY WEEK.
