Skiing at Whistler

Skiing at Whistler

On Saturday, April 12th, I went skiing at Whistler. Whistler is a mountain that is north of Burnaby and was the mountain used in the 2010 Winter Olympics. When we got there, I had to rent my skis at Can-Ski rentals and we waited there for about 1 hour. After, we took a gondola up to the mountain and we had to put on our skis when we reached the top. I was scared to go on the chair lift because I had not been on it for a while. When we got up, we took the Peak 2 Peak gondola to Blackcomb Mountain from Whistler Mountain. The first ski run I went down was a blue run which means intermediate runs and it was icy. After we were done that run, we went to a green run which means easy. It was really easy. After the green run, we took the Peak 2 Peak back to Whistler and then we went to eat. I ate pizza and chicken strips and it was delicious. We skied one more run after and I got hit by a snowboarder. He cut in front of me and I was going really fast and he wiped me out. My head hurt after. I returned my ski equipment at Can-Ski rentals and went to the car to put away my helmet. My mom and I were done early so we went to Starbucks to get some drinks and then we drove home. I had a good time and the best part was just skiing the blue run.

  1. That is really cool because I never get to go skiing and you are really lucky that you can. I think I can go skiing soon I hope

  2. Is the chair lift scary? I’ve never been on it before, but it looks really scary. Was the blue run easy? I never went skiing before, so I’m new to all of this, but I did go on the Peak 2 Peak gondola, too! It was really scary when I went on the grey gondola with the clear bottom. when you look into the glass, it is really cool because you can see the snow.
