Overdue Work

Written By: lavoratab - Oct• 13•26

We are continuing to work on an important set of skills that contribute to student success: organization, time management, and completing assignments on time. Some students are currently working on developing strategies to keep track of assignments, manage their workload, and ensure that completed work is submitted by the deadline.

To provide additional support,  students with overdue assignments will have an extra catch-up block in the gym on Friday mornings. This dedicated time will allow students to focus on outstanding work, get organized, and make progress toward completing and submitting missing assignments.

Meeting deadlines helps students build responsibility, develop positive work habits, and stay on track with classroom learning. We encourage families to support these efforts by regularly checking in about assignments (see blog Schoolwork page), reviewing upcoming deadlines, and helping establish routines for staying organized. Students should also make a habit of using their double-pocket folders, writing in their agenda, and asking for help when they need clarification or support.

Our goal is to help every student develop the confidence, independence, and organizational skills needed to be successful. The Friday morning catch-up block is an opportunity for students to take responsibility for their learning and get back on track.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to help students build these important lifelong skills!
