Hi everyone,
This is just an update about the large projects we’re starting in class. In term 2 it’s critical that students keep up with assignments and steps in our large projects. Some students may need support with this so I encourage parents to check in with students and to check assigned work on Teams for an indication on how they’re doing.
Some of the projects include:
Speeches (topic is An Authentic Moment)
Heritage Fair
Novel Study (most of the class is working on City of Ember)
Popsicle stick bridges (ADST)
Photo editing using PIXLR
Along with our other usual learning.
Also, in gr7 Math we’ve started using our Math sets with compass and protractor. If you haven’t purchased one yet, I recommend getting one which fits a standard pencil in the compass as the ones with little pieces of graphite are hard to refill. These will be used in high school as well.
