We had such a fun and meaningful time with our class snails! As summer break begins, some of our friends volunteered to bring the snails home. We can’t wait to see what stories and adventures our class snails will have in their new homes!

We learned about fractions and how fraction parts are equal shares or equal-sized portions of a whole or unit. Then, we learned how to make a fraction out of our names! We counted how many parts there are in our names and wrote fractions for the vowels and consonants. It was a fun activity that helped us better understand how fractions work!
We integrated art into our math lesson! We learned about arrays in multiplication and created an “Array City.” Using our knowledge of arrays, we wrote multiplication equations to represent the windows arranged in arrays. Learning about arrays and equal groups really helped us build a strong foundation for understanding multiplication!
