Earthquake Drill Thursday

On Thursday we will be taking part in the Great BC Shake Out to practice what to do in the event of an earthquake. It’s a good reminder for families to also discuss the topic at home to make sure everyone is ready just in case.

Grade 6 Camp Oct. 9-11

On October 9-11 all grade 6 students will be going to Timberline Ranch for our annual grade 6 camping trip. Mr. Kelsey will be leading the camp, so grade 5 students will be moved to Mme Altman’s class from 10:00 on Wednesday until 3:00 Friday. Mme Altman’s room is room 19, but students who are picked up at the end of the day might want to meet their family members outside portable 6 if it’s easier. Grade 5 students will have assignments prepared for them by Mr. Kelsey, and Mr. Martin will still provide Music lessons and Mr. Larsen will still teach French.

Volleyball Season

The volleyball season is starting and grade 6 students are able to join the volleyball team if interested. The boys signed up today at recess and the girls will sign up soon with Mrs. Schiffo. If anyone misses the sign up and decides to try it they should talk to one of those teachers.

Terry Fox Run Friday

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a restful summer. On September 3rd division 5 students should return to Portable 6 at 9:00. Dismissal will be at 10:00. The regular bell schedule resumes on September 4th.
