Listen to this video:  What do we learn about plants?

Life Cycle:  The way a living thing grows and changes.

Life Cycle of a Plant

First, a seed begins life in the soil.

Then, the seed begins to sprout.

Next, the seedling, or baby plant, emerges from the soil.

Finally, the seedling grows into a plant.

We also learned from the video that plants have certain needs.  Reminder: Needs are things that we must have to survive.

In order to survive, plants need:

  • Water
  • Sunlight
  • Air
  • Soil

Review counting backward from 10 using fingers.

Lesson 8:

I can subtract using pictures to 10. (I can cross out pictures to find out the answer to the equation).

Lesson 9:

I can decompose 10 to subtract. (I  can use a ten frame to find all the combinations that subtract from 10).

I can solve word problems to 10: (I can draw picture to illustrate the story and write an equation).
