Winter Animals – Ms Gourlay's Class

Winter Animals

| Posted in Learning

The children have been learning about the how living things may make physical and behavioral changes to survive in different conditions. In particular, we have been exploring how different kinds of local animals may hibernate, migrate or adapt to the winter season.

This week, we used loose parts to create and describe the living environment of some winter animals.

Look at the pictures with your child and ask him/her to tell you more about it!

Story comes in many forms. Thank you for offering students the opportunity to unpack their own stories through the loose parts. I hope that parents do ask their child – they may be surprised at the complexity of language used.

These are amazing! Brayden told me the beaver is munching logs and a bear is hibernating. 🙂
