This week, we are going to reflect on our learning while looking at the core competencies. In class, we worked on our Growth Portfolios to reflect on our learning over the terms. However, this term, we will have to do things a little different since we don’t have our binders or shared classroom experience. Please note that this assignment is mandatory and required by the Ministry of Education. Please be sure to submit this.
Please reflect on your learning throughout the year. I suggest creating a brainstorming web of all the things we have done in class. Include the third term and the learning you have done at home. Your memory is probably most fresh with what you have done at home so far so feel free to focus on that.
Complete the following handout: core competencies. Please use full sentences and detail.

This past week has been a pivotal one in our world. There has been a lot of discussion, education and action taking place surrounding diversity, justice, and racism. It is important we have these (age-appropriate) conversations in our homes. If you haven’t had the conversation as a family yet, I encourage you to do so.

Please select (at least) one book to reflect and respond to using this response sheet. Please submit this sheet by the end of the week.

This is an ongoing project. If you have completed it or are just starting, here is the planning sheet to start a new inquiry: Genius Hour Planning Sheet
Follow these steps:
Brainstorm – what topics interest you? Write down topics that interest you (e.g. birds, palm trees, global warming, Jupiter, etc…). Select one to focus on this week.
Question – What deep questions do you wish to explore on your topic? (e.g. how do birds fly?)
Research – How are you going to find answers to your questions? With limited variety of resources, it will likely be online or an interview with an “expert” on the topic (perhaps family/friends).
Present – How are you going to share your knowledge? Please come up with a a way to briefly present your project. This may be through a speech, slideshow, poster, poem, comic, video, song, etc.
Share – Practice your presentation and share — either to me, family/friends, to the class during Sharing Circle.

This morning I was watching Pete’s Dragon on Disney + but I have not finished it yet. I started Alice through the looking glass after Alice in Wonderland(2010). Today I am at my grandmas house with my cousins and sister. My grandma had a good joke to tell me but she forgot it.
I am doing is two stars and a wish. My first star is teachers that are doing online classes and face-to-face classes. My second star is for my wonderful breakfast my sister made for my family. My wish is that I didn’t get on so late. Thank you.

Bo knows how to roll over now
Yesterday my baby cousin Thea came over. She is 3 years old. The first thing we did with her is go downstairs in the playroom. Then we went upstairs in my little sisters room then we went in my room. First we played the claw machine. In the middle of trying to win something from the claw machine she saw something else in my room. So I won a hatchimal for her. After we ate a snack and had a parade in the house Thea’s my came over and gave us yummy treats. We all ate dinner together we ate fish and chips after we all watched a show. We were playing with toy baby’s. Then Thea was not looking where she was stepping then she stepped on a lotion bottle. It got all on my carpet because Mila was putting it on lotion on Thea’s legs so Thea had to take off her pants! They were about to leave but we had to get her pants back. It was a fun day.😊
One day there was a kid name Rose. Rose was a member in the school rose had a sister name Isabelle And a baby brother name Jack and they had a nice family her baby brother had a toys to play with and they have a dog name Max. Max was a family dog he was good he had a lot of toys the brother Jack is not that good so the mom said we are running away they said why the older sister said I am staying he re to be with Jack. Jack cant be alone in this big city this city is big enough for he can get lost the sister that is 10yrs old went with mom the mom said good girl do uyou want food or anything no thanks said the kid the mom said why do you not want anything because I just dont want anything I have food i miss our dog max. Max is with your older sister and your brother Jack was not a good kid that is why we are running away from home the sister said that Is not nice just because he not a good kid he is going to be who he is😀

On Monday I went out with my cousins and aunt and grandma because it was my cousins birthday she turned 20! We had a very funny day, we went biking, ate food, layed on the beach and more but I kinda forgot lol
