Last week’s photo captures a family who is leaning across police tape to take pictures of oily sand during a vacation with his family. Officials closed the public beaches in Pensacola Beach, Fla., as oil from the Deepwater Horizon explosion washed ashore.
The Deepwater Horizon oil spill was caused by an explosion that occurred in the ocean (Gulf of Mexico) almost exactly ten years ago on April 20th, 2010. The company drilled deep into the ground to find oil. There was a sudden heavy flow of natural oil and gases that caused an explosion and could not be contained. It was considered to be the biggest ocean oil spill in history. The spill could not be managed and caused a lot of damage to marine (and human) life.

c.) Math
Khan Academy seems to be working for most of you. You may be working on a separate program at home which is more than OK. The list of remaining math topics we are to cover for the remainder of the term are located in the “resources” tab.
Alternative programs may include IXL, math worksheets, math games. Math is also everywhere — you may decide your math program is to identify everyday math (measuring while baking, estimating while planning, noticing patterns, finding “groups of”, etc.)

Continue the “And the Moral of the Story is…” assignment.

Create a good-copy of your work. This does not have to be typed out. How you publish your work is your choice.
Ideas:

- Print neatly on paper

- Make a skit — act it out with members of your family if possible.
- Make a video
- Create a Scratch video

I wonder what is going on in the picture. Maybe they are having a new doctor coming in to help. The reason I think of that is because they are all holding cameras to take pictures. Maybe they are taking pictures of important people. The reason I also think of that is because they are all smiling.
I wonder why are they holding cameras I’m taking pictures📷📸? Maybe they’re taking pictures of people👨👩👧👦or are they taking pictures of a celebrity👥? Who is the celebrity 👥?
I think these are health care workers because of the Covid 19 I think that because the background looks like a hospital there taking pictures because at seven o’clock the people from the neighbourhood thank the healthcare workers for what there doing .
l wonder why they are holding cameras. I think they are having a backing contest.I think there is someone who won the contest and they got to see the dish.
I think in the picture there are doctors taking a photo of someone who had the Coronavirus🦠and he was already very sick 😷 and also he was dying😞 and all the doctors thought that he would not make it but he did make it through maybe a Scientist came and checked him out👩🏻🔬and he got all better maybe because he needed another shot and he had to have some medicine 💊and they were all smiling because he could go back and live with his family again 😄👩🏼🤝👨🏻.
l wonder what they are taking pictures of ? Maybe they have the cure of the covid-19. I think they have the cure of covid-19 because they have cameras and they are taking photos of it
I wonder if this is a picture about the doctors and the nurses that took care of the people in the hospital and they are taking a picture of the people who are better and going back home. I think this because they are smiling and they are lined up down the hallway.
I think they are health care workers at a hospital and are taking pictures of the people cheering for them. I think this because they are all wearing uniforms and they are holding up cameras. Why are they all lined up against one hallway wall?

I wonder why they are holding cameras.Maybe they got free cameras because they work so hard.Or because they got a day off so they brought cameras to show their families what they do at work and what they work with.
I wonder why they are holding cameras? Maybe there taking photos of celebrities that have donated money to help with the corona virus or taking photos of people who have the corona virus.

I think they are happy to help the sick people. And one is good and healthy so they get to go home and see their family after a long time. Maybe they are taking pictures of the one who is going home and maybe they are giving a good day to them because they work so hard to be healthy.
