  3. Learn and explore music using any of the resources posted on the HOME page of the blog site. Write about, or get video footage of, what you’ve done or learned and submit it to Mr. Clift.

    7:00 Cheer

    1. Sounds I can hear:

Sirens and horns blaring in short blasts, pots, and pans clanging occasionally applause, and cheering. I also frequently hear instruments that are considered pitch percussion or non-pitch percussion instruments. Some non-pitch percussion instruments I usually hear are the drums and the tambourine. Some pitch-percussion instruments I hear during the 7:00 cheer are guitars and ukuleles.

    2. Sound quality:

Some sound qualities I hear are pitch and duration during the 7:00 cheer because I hear a variety of high and low sounds such as cheering which is high and pots or pans which create very low sounds. I also hear cheers that, sometimes hold for a long portion of time, and sometimes, I hear pots or pans bang for a short amount of time.

    3. Volume:

I hear various ranges of volume such as high, medium, and low. Some high ranges of volume come from cheers and squeals. Some medium ranges of volume I hear are guitars and ukuleles. Finally, some low ranges of volume I hear are from pots, pans, and sometimes, even drums!

    4. Time period:

Sometimes when I listen, the entire neighbourhood plays in tune and at the exact, same time, which sounds like a nice melody. Although, sometimes they play at different times which very offbeat and disorganized. I also think that it is very important to harmonize when you are singing or playing together, in a chorus, or in a band!
