Optional Extensions

• Read for 30 minutes every day
• Write a journal entry every day.
  • Criteria: full sentences, no run-on sentences, include transition words where possible
• Math: we are working on perimeter and calculating missing lengths, and starting on Area
• Basketball: continue practicing dribbling, triple threat position, bounce pass, and chest pass. Practice defending the ball as well
• French: we are learning greetings, and having a puppet show

Please note: Unfortunately, the school is unable to refund the field trip fee if your child does not attend on Friday, Feb. 5th

We will save the handouts for you that we do in class if there are any. Please note that much of our learning stems from teacher instruction, group discussions, whole-class discussions and hands-on activities to scaffold inquiry topics so worksheets do not capture the full extent of the learning experience.
