Stone Puzzles
I don’t know about you but I love collecting stones… there are so many shapes, sizes and colours!
I want you to find a bag or basket and go for a walk outside. Your job today is to find some beautiful rocks and bring them home. Ask your children questions… how do the rocks feel? What shape do you see? Do you see lines in the rock?
When you get home you might want to set your child up at the sink so they can wash and dry their stones.
Once they are done find a piece of paper, a pencil, a marker and a small bowl to hold the stones.
Trace the stones one by one on the paper using a pencil. You can then outline them with the marker. I found it easier that way so I could erase lines if I needed to.
Set your child up at a table and have them complete the puzzle! You can have tour child paint the rocks as an add on activity for another day! You can trace leaves or other treasures found on your adventure as well!
Have fun exploring friends!
