This source is a Youtube video. In this video it shows how some clips from Hollywood movies are made using math. Like where lights are put, angles of the camera, how many cameras are needed and how the person needs to move or stand.

Module One Post Eleven (PIC Math – Creating More Realistic Animation for Movies – Segment I)
This source is a Youtube video that shows us how objects or something is moved to make it seem more realistic on a computer. It shows us in some examples how they are moved and what they do to make it seem more realistic. (Lifting upwards, to the side, etc.)
Module One Post Fourteen (reaction time)
In this video, they compared reaction time between a cat and a goalie. It was shown using professional hockey players, both goalie and player. The goalie can react use as fast as a cat, however for the goalie, it was not a reaction it was a reflex. Human are not capable of reacting 1/10 of a second however they can follow the puck and know where about it is located. Overall a cool and informative video, displayed and explained very well. Definettly recommend to others!

Hockey takes advantage of one of the most precious liquids in the universe, water. Water is used as ice in it’s solid form. A hockey rink is 200 feet in length and 85 fee wide, therefore takes around 10,600 gallons of water to fill to about an inch. However, water expands when solidified, thats why some pipes break. This is how zamboni’s play a huge roll in the process of maintaining ice. It first removes first layer of ice, then puts new coat of water after finished. Therefore removing solids/refurnish ice before next period. This will be helpful when looking at the rink and it’s design. An amazing source of information!
Module 1 Post 14 (The Geometry of Ballet)
https://prezi.com/4ek7nbe6sz0t/the-geometry-of-ballet/
I found another prezi on geometry in ballet. This prezi has more typos then the other one but it does have useful information. This prezi explained that geometry has helped ballet dancers and it gave new information on how ballet uses rotation, translation, and reflection.
This was useful because it gave new examples of how ballet uses geometry. The explanations were very good. And it Incorporated pictures so it helped me understand how ballet had that specific type of math involved in it.
Module 1 Post 13 (The Geometry of Ballet)
Since it is getting a little harder to find sites on how ballet is related to math I decided to try a Prezi. I found this one https://prezi.com/72rlha79knaz/the-geometry-of-ballet/ and it was pretty useful so I decided to put it as one of my posts. This Prezi explains basic geometry like reflection translation rotation and symmetry. They gave lots of examples like while doing a pirouette your using rotation.
This was useful because it had examples along with pictures and videos. They explained things really well and it was really helpful. This can also help me understand why posture is so important in ballet because if you are slouching or sitting on one hip it won’t be a proper reflection or you won’t be symmetric.
Module One Post Fourteen (What math is used)
This website clearly displays howe math is used in lacrosse. It explains which format of math is used and how it applies.
It will help me greatly finding what type of math need to look for so that i can expand on that. Using other sites and sources.

Module One Post Eleven [CPU and GPU]
This website explains the important differences between CPUs and GPU’s. It explains that GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit and CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. They are very important for computers, especially CPU. GPU is used for video games or animations. Not all computers have GPU because they might not have a graphics card. GPU is also a lot bigger than CPU. Overall this website is pretty good because it displays a lot of examples to make things more clear. GPU and CPU are very important in both the creation of computers and coding.
Module One Post Nine (Mathematics in Chemistry)
This brief page explains how mathematics is essential in chemistry. In chemistry mathematics is necessary to calculate concepts. This page provides a lot of links on exactly what mathematics skill you need to know for chemistry. The links show that scientific equations are used in chemistry. The website is from a university, so the information is reliable.
Module One Post nine (Ice skating)
Cite used: https://www.real-world-physics-problems.com/physics-of-ice-skating.html
This website goes over an important aspect of the game of hockey, skating. In this website it reviews the two motions of the skate a push from the edge and then a glide. Not only that but doing movement on ice is near friction less therefore top speeds of over 40 kilometers can be reached with quite ease. In addition it goes over the relationship between force and speed. Similar to running one foot pushes and one foot glides, therefore having a good balance and a straight line of direction. In my opinion, this website has very good and relatable information. It easy to understand, and will be definitely used in my research.
