This website show how do you shoot in an angle to the hoop, the measurement of the whole basketball court, and show the average of the distance. The math in basketball involves in wide range. Basketball is a great opportunity to practice simple skill like adding and subtracting. Statistics is for analyzing a game of basketball. Geometry is good to help the player to defend the ball.

This helps me because it tells how far do you shoot from an angle and also it show the force of the angle speed. This is very important to me because because is all by an angle which is so important because the better the angle the more better you shoot. Geometry is also important because you need to defend the ball by bending your knees in an angle so you get more power to jump and block the ball. Basketball and Math

In this site, it displays a basic knowledge of the game of ice hockey. Further it goes deeper into how math is related to the ice rink, goalie, statistics and scoring. This website helped me a develop a basic understanding of what my topic is, and the connection to math. module one post two (Remo Ruscitti)

I am very good friends with Remo Ruscitti. Remo is a 23 year old professional race car driver. He is also is a part of the same go kart team that I race for. He races and fixes go karts. He works at Italian Motors USA as a mechanic. Remo has raced o karts his whole life and knows everything about them. Remo is also my mentor and my idol.

Being friends with Remo will definetley help me throughout this project. He has all the knowledge about setting up and tuning, fixing, and driving the go kart. He also knows about all the different tires, how they are different and why, and why some are faster then others. Remo also knows about different driving styles and how different ones are faster and how to change driving style. he knows a lot about karting and having him will be an asset.

Module One Post One (Correlation Between Math and Ballet)

On this site it talks about the relationship between math and ballet, like ballet and fractions. This post is by Ashley Chin-Mark. It shows the origins of ballet and the different types of math behind ballet.There needs to be exact measurements to create the perfect pointe shoe. And the different angles and how they need to be perfect to do the perfect lift. This site also explains that Aurora (from the Sleeping Beauty ballet) needs to have the perfect pirouettes and ponches. 

This is helpful to me because it shows me there is much more to each move and step.  Each arm line has to be straight and if it isn’t then the symmetry is off. It shows that there IS math in ballet and that ballet is much more complicated than it seems.

Module 1 Post 1 [Music and Mathematics ]

Music and Mathematics

This site explains a wide variety of how music can relate with mathematics. The site explains that most music pieces have a form known as “Binary” and “Ternary”  form. Binary is a musical form that has 2 sections: A and B. Sometimes it might be A-A-B-B if the composer wants to repeat a section.Ternary is a musical form that has 3 sections. The most common type for Ternary form is A-B-A formation.

This site also explains how a scale is a set of pitches used in creating pieces. Most pieces stay in one key while others change into other keys. Each key has a minor and major key. The higher a note is, the higher the hertz (Hz). A tonic note on A major would have a lower hertz while a note such as a high A would have a higher hertz.This is known as an interval.

I believe this site will be helpful to me because it provides tons of links while also providing a vast variety of why music and mathematics are related.

This website may be short but it shows me the different lines and angels of the stick and field. It shows different angles depending on how the stick is being held. And the lines running down the field, that mark off the different in and out lines as well as the spacing and shooting lines.

the website that i used i think was pretty good because the information sounded pretty right .when i was reading the website was talking about aerodynamics and the angle you are on.and how the people curve it when they shoot the ball.that why its makes it kinda hard to do the math but it tells you how to do it and what are the problemes and stuff.

I discovered kartpit.com very recently. Their website has information about anything you need and want to know about karting. Whether you are just getting into the sport, or need new equipment, or need to learn how to fix a go kart, this site has it all.

I find this website very helpful because it has tons of information all in one place, and it covers many different topics on karting that I can use for this project. If I want to do something related to the mechanics behind karting, or the driving aspect of karting, this site has it all, and in the same place. It is really helpful having it all in the same place because then you wont have to continuously go back and forth between different sites. It also makes it easier to right a biography after the project is finished. kartpit.com also has subtitles on their homepage. Whne you first get onto the website, it has subtitles leading to the different aspects of karting talked about on the website. This makes it very easy to find what information you are looking for and lets you go straight to that information. This website will defintley help me a lot throughout this project.

What is Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is technology so small that humans can’t see it. This site explains how nanotechnology can help in many subjects like biology or physics. Richard Feynman is the scientist who made it on December 29, 1959. In 1 inch there is 25,400,000 nano-meters. The website is good because it is a government website and has lot’s of information and examples for most ages to understand.

Everything is the world has atoms and nanotechnology is about controlling those atoms. Even high school microscopes cannot see most forms of nanotechnology. The website helps because it explains that scientist who study nanotechnology need specific technology such as scanning tunnelling microscope (STM) and the atomic force microscope (AFM).

Now that people have discovered nanotechnology they have been trying to find new ways to use it.
