Module One Post Ten (Math in Basketball)

https://secretsofshooting.com/physics-based-basketball-shooting/

This website shows the force of the angle. The speed the the shots you take and calculate the average. Shows to bend your legs so so can get more speed and angle. Also it’s even depends how tall are you because it’s affect the force of your height and if you are short you need a lot of force to shoot in the net.

This helps me because it’s important to use the force in order to shoot the ball and also important to bend your knees and jump then you take the shot. Even the height if you are short you should better be closer to the hoop and tall can be any where.

Module One Post Nine (Math in Basketball)

https://www.wikihow.com/Apply-Math-and-Geometry-in-Basketball

This website show the geometry about how to shoot, defend, and pass. Shows the hoop distance and the basketball too. The way you need to dribbling the ball and passing it like an angle. Even the shots.

This helps me because it’s important to shoot from an angle to get better chances. Always stay focus with the ball and the player moving because they might trick you and put your hands that the player can’t pass.

Module One Post Eight (Math in Basketball)

https://healthfully.com/how-math-used-basketball-4897212.html

This website show the average points the player shoots, and the total average of the team. It show the ratios of defending the ball, and the assists to the player too. Shows percentages for example if the player shoots 11 on 20 attempts then you calculate the percentages and see the rate of the shooting. It also shows the strategy of the team like pass the ball and fake shoot then pass the ball and shoot.

This helps me because it’s important the take a risk if you want to take a shot. Also important that you need to pass and try to do something a good strategy so the opponent team doesn’t know. Important is to make sure you don’t miss a lot a shots because when the coach see it then you might gt kick out you maybe shoot it from a short range because is much more easier than long range.

Module One Post Six (10 cool chemistry experiments)

The rainbow of colored fire was made using common household chemicals to color the flames.

Cool Chemistry Experiments

This site lists 10 cool experiments using different substances mixed together. There is step by step instruction on how to do most these experiments. These experiments all involve chemistry. This demonstrates that there is infinite possibilities that can happen after certain substances are mixed together. This is an example that shows me that there are no end to possibilities in chemistry. It will also be good for ideas.

module one post nine (italkart.com)

Italkart.com is the official website for my chassis provider, Italkart. They produce the highest quality, best performing chassis’ on the market today. I have one of these chassis and race it very often. This website outlines the information on the chassis and the specs.

There is a lot of math behind the chassis and the adjustments related. On the chassis, you can adjust the height of the suspension, width of rear tires, and many others that can dramatically effect the performance of the kart. It is all about getting the adjustment. If I decide to use anything about the chassis for this project, having all the chassis information in one place is very helpful, especially since the information is on the same chassis I use.

module one post eight (lecont.com)

Lecont is go kart tire manufacturer. These tires are the ones I use in national, regional, and club races. There is lots of math in tires. How much rubber, what type of rubber, why do some perform better then others, amount of air in the tire. Tires are very important in the world of karting. If they are the wrong compound, wrong air pressure, wrong setup, it will cost you the race.

Lecont.com is a very helpful website because it shows all of the tires they make and information about them. This website will help a lot if I decide to use information on tires for the project. I will be able to refer to this website to find all the information I will need. Having all the information on these tires in one place will make it much easier for me to complete this project.

Module 1 Post 6 (The Geometry In Dance)

http://adamquiney.com/public_html/blog/wordpress/tag/dance-angles/

This site talks about the angles in dance. However it doesn’t really talk about ballet but it was still useful. This site says that it is important to keep yourself symmetrical in dance and that our bodies form many different angles while doing certain steps. Symmetry is important for balancing in the world of dance so every dancer should maintain their symmetry.

This site was useful because now I know how important symmetry is in ballet and if I ever need to stay balanced in ballet I know it’s because of the symmetry. This site is also useful because if I want to swerve away from ballet and learn more about the dance in general I have this site.

Module 1 Post 8 [ Musical pitches and math]

Musical Pitches

This site talks about musical pitches. The frequency determines how high or how low a pitch can sound, for example: The pitch of a high D ( Or D5) is 587.33 Hz while a low pitch such as a low C (C0) is  16.35 Hz. The pitch of a standard A (A4) rests at 440 Hz. Most people tune with A4. The ending statement of the article states that some musicians can slowly gain a degree of perfect pitch ( Being able to sing each individual note, improvise, compose by ear etc.) just by being familiar with A4 note.

Module 1 Post 7 [ Math and the Musical Form]

Musical Form

This site explains musical forms like AABB, ABA, AABA and many others. Musical form determines how a piece can sound based on repetition. Forms usually depend on a statement and restatement type of melody ( Question to answer compositions) and also contrast. I will use this site as a place to gather extra knowledge. I know this page is trusted because there are citations and the last update was pretty current ( October 31)

Module One Post Seven (Math in Basketball)

http://www.mathworksheetscenter.com/mathtips/basketballmath.html

This websites show the measurement of the basketball like hoop, basketball, free throw line, and three pointers. It show the measurement of the court. Show the teams of the qualified.

This helps me because it’s important to know what is the measurement of the whole basketball court. The team of the basketball how many team will be on the playoffs. Even the hoop and the basketball is very important because you need to understand if the basketball can just go straight to the hoop without hitting the rim of the basketball hoop.
