A Fermata above a note tells us to play
the note for longer than it is written.
Solo – only one person playing
Tutti – everyone playing the same part together
Forte (F) – Loud
Piano (p) – Soft
Mezzo-Forte (mf) – Medium Loud
Trill – Rapidly alternate between two notes
