Over the course of the previous few weeks, the grade six students have been working on film scores for a scene from the Disney film, “Sing,” or a clip of “Minions.” In this project they have worked on developing an understanding of chords and melody on various string and keyboard instruments. While doing so, they have reflected on particular moments, elements, and creative ideas to bring light themes that emerge as the scene unfolds. After developing their musical ideas, the students worked on creating sound effects from traditional and non-traditional instruments.
