Hello everyone and Happy Friday!

Today, we started off by reading a bit from “Wonder.”

Then, I did a short Math lesson that continued to demonstrate how variables or shapes can be used in equations and how these variables/shapes can be identified by breaking down the question. We will be having our Math Unit Test for Patterning on Wednesday, so students should study what they need to work on from the Mid-Unit Diagnostic in order to be ready for the final test, which will be on the entirety of Unit 1. The homework pages for today are:

Grade 4: page 27 #1-3

Grade 5: pages 27-28 #1-11

Then, the students had Music and we went outside for DPA.

After, the students had a bit of a chance to work on their timelines and autobiographies that are due Monday and we will start presenting our timelines on Monday as well (students do not need to present their autobiographies). There will be no journal for this weekend due to the Math test and the presentations that are next week.

Next, we went to the Gym for our first Gym period and played some tag games, which was  a lot  of fun.

After lunch, the students worked on their Social Studies projects that were assigned yesterday by using books and computers to conduct their research.

At the end of the day, we had community time.

It was a great week 🙂 Have a lovely weekend!

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
