Good morning families,

We are so lucky the assembly is still on, the projector screen was fixed last night right after school!

Our assembly will begin at 10:40/45am right after recess (approx. 45 mins long). All of Division 11 has a part in skits and some students who felt comfortable have speaking parts (either leading our treaty land acknowledgement, introducing our class or sharing a poem).

We understand that some families have work and other commitments, but we hope to see you there!

Thank you,

Ms. Ciolfitto

P.S. Next week is literacy week!

Attached is our schedule: We have a bingo card going home to complete during the week due on January 30, theme days and in class/ school wide activities!

Div. 2 Donation Fair (Tuesday Jan 13)

Good morning families,

On Tuesday January 13 our class will be visiting Division 2’s Donation Fair. Division 2 students have been working on items to sell in groups such as key chains, book marks and stickers to raise money for local charities. Proceeds sold at the fair will go to charities such as the BC SPCA, BC Children’s Hospital, Team Trees, Save the Children Canada, Penny Appeal, Parkinson Canada, Parent Support Services Society of BC and more. Many items are between 50 cents to 2-3 dollars.

Division 11 has signed up for a time in the afternoon to visit from 1:45-2:00pm on Tuesday January 13. If your child is partaking please discuss how many items they could purchase and discuss how much money they are able to bring to the fair.

On Tuesday January 13 I will collect the money in the morning from students to put into my locked cabinet until it is time to visit the fair.  Please have your child’s name (on an envelope or plastic bag and how much money is inside) this will let me know that your child has permission to purchase and make a small donation to the local charities that day.

After the fair all extra money will remain in the bags and items will be in my cabinet until we line up for home time. Most items are small to fit inside the plastic bag or envelop.

Thank you for your support,

Ms. Ciolfitto
