April Precept

Howdy, fellas! This is the first time, on this new blog, that I am gonna be writing a Precept. It sure is to cause pandamonium!

Anyways, the precept is: What is beautiful is good, and who is good will soon be beautiful

In my terms, it means that the beautiful stuff are good (however I would like to say not EVERY beautiful thing is good.) And, anyone/thing that’s good is going to be soon beautiful (again, I would like to disagree. Some are not pretty, even though they are beautiful. And there are things that are already BEAUTIFUL).

This precept pretty much makes sense, as you can easily identify the meaning. But, I would like to add something: We need some REAL-LIFE EXAMPLES!

April Precept

“What is beautiful is good, and who is good will soon be beautiful.” — Sappho,

Is this months precept, and I have a good perspective on what I believe this quote means. It has some relation to the story of “Wonder” Because of what is says. What is beautiful is good, that makes sense, take for example trees: they are beautiful and they do good for the earth because trees gives us oxygen. Now who is good will soon be beautiful, that relates to the story Wonder by a lot! If you haven’t read the story Wonder yet, by R.J Palacio, don’t worry, no spoilers. In the story , Auggie has a deformed face as i would call it, which doesn’t make him physically beautiful, but since he is such a heart-filled person, and is such a friendly fun guy to hang around, that will make others see he is beautiful because of that, and that he doesn’t need a beautiful face, he just needed a beautiful personality.

Now that I’ve explained what i think the precept means, I guess i’ll give my thoughts on it. I do agree with the meaning of this precept, but there are a few things wrong in my opinion. Not to get to specific in the precept but not all things that are beautiful are good. Take for example food, some foods look beautiful but they could be really unhealthy for you. Tell me if I got a little off topic or if you agree! Anyways, the “who is good will soon be beautiful” part is great, and i don’t think i could dis agree with that statement.

April Precept

Mr. Browne’s April Precept is:

What is beautiful is good. And who is good will soon be beautiful.

-Sappho

The author of Wonder (R.J. Palacio) probably put this precept in with a pretty big reason. The precept starts “What is beautiful is good.” August isn’t what you would say “beautiful.” Some would say opposite. What is this “beautiful?” Is my next question. Does it mean how he looks? We already went over that part. If it’s how he looks, does that mean August isn’t good? This next part might help.

The first paragraph went over the first sentence in the precept (What is beautiful is good). But now, we’re going to take on the second one. “And who is good will soon be beautiful.” I’m going to change this sentence a bit for now: And who is good is beautiful. Let’s try to focus on that. My question on “What is this ‘beautiful’?” Might have gotten a step closer on answering. And who is good is beautiful. That means that the “beautiful” means good! There’s a cycle.

  1. What is beautiful is good
  2. Who is good is beautiful

But, remember, this is my changed version. The real version is “And who is good will soon be beautiful.” Let’s focus on that bold word now. Soon. I think this word shows more than it is. I think it means that something good will soon happen to someone. August, maybe.

April precept

This month’s precept is “What is beautiful is good, and who is good will soon be beautiful. -Sappho

I think RJ Palacio put this precept in her book Wonder, because August (a boy with a different face than you and me) didn’t think he was beautiful or able to fit in because of his face. I think that August doesn’t need approval from people at his school or neighbourhood. August should be himself and he shouldn’t care what other people think because most of the time people will learn to accept you, if you be yourself.

What this precept means to me is that if someone or something is beautiful, then it’s good. But if you think that you’re only good and that you’re ugly, then you can try to believe that you really are beautiful on the inside. It doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside. Then you will soon accept who you are and that you are beautiful no matter what you look like on the outside.

April Precept

Hey guys! Im back with a NEW precept. In this precept Im going to talk about something that is beautiful and something that is good.

Mr.brown’s Aprils precept is:What is beautiful is good and what is good will soon be beautiful.

I think the Aprils precept is about people who are beautiful.I think that people that give, care and that are supportive, those are the ones that are beautiful. The part when it says:is good.I think that part means they are nice they are not mean. That reminds me what I was supporting my track team on Thursday, April 21,2016.when I was little I was not good mean to my cousins but nice to my friends but as I grew up I started being nice to my cousins and more nicer to my friends too.

I think the part it says:is good will soon be beautiful,I think that means its good not great,They are nice not mean like other people. They sometimes care and sometimes be supportive. The part when it says:will soon be beautiful, maybe means wile they keep on being caring, giving and being supportive then you will soon be beautiful.

So that is what I think the Aprils precept means. So stay in toned for more precepts and other stuff.Thank you for reading my articles.
