Meet The Maestro Reflection

We got the chance to see a performance by Maestro Bramwell Tovey on May, 30, 2016. He started off with a really complicated piece (at least for me) on the piano, then he went to explain himself. Maestro Tovey is a music conductor and composer, born in United Kingdom, July 11, 1953 (age 63). He is really good at Piano and he has a very funny accent (no offense :P). The music he played was very cool, and though I do not like classical music that much, I kind of grew to like it because of his playing. He did a great job and I think he is a very talented person because if I were to learn at least one song he played that day, then my brain would be dead! Maestro Tovey is a very awesome person to be honest. He seems really fun, and if someone were to have him as their music teacher, I bet they’d learn really fast!

It’s pretty cool that we got to meet Maestro Bramwell Tovey because now the whole school has a better perspective on classical music and especially music by Beethoven. Tovey told us about Beethoven and played many famous pieces that Beethoven made. The music was very soothing and calming in a way, maybe something I could listen to to go to bed!

I2 Journal

Dreams and Nightmares.

That’s what my topic is. Today I’m going to tell you theories and quotes. Some quotes of mine, some from others. www.iemoji.com  This emoji is asleep. Peacefully snoring. It could be dreaming, or having a nightmare. Why not try and figure it out.

  • Theory-Dreams can be connected to Deja Vu. When you dream something will happen and it happens in the future.
  • Theory-When we dream, if we dream about things happening in real life, but it’s like this is what will happen, you are able to see that what’s happening in real life is bad.
  • Theory-When you control your dreams, you can do anything you want. Become immortal, go to the moon, and even fly.
  • Quote – The choice is in the hand of the dreamer. ~Aylah
  • Quote – If you’re not dreaming, where’s your imagination? ~Aylah
  • Quote – Once Upon A Dream. . . ~Aylah

That’s all I can share today, hope to catch you next week!

Beedie Group Reflection

My favorite part of going on the Beedie Group field trip was meeting Mr.Beedie and seeing and learning about what he and the Beedie do at their headquarters. They design and then approve the design and the measurements need to be exact. My other favorite part was when I got my own hard hat that said BEEDIE GROUP on it I keep as a memorabilia. Some of my other favorite parts were I finally found out what all those big piles of dirt are and getting to take a picture with Mr.Beedie and getting to see his golden hard hat(nobody knows if it is real gold or not).

VSO Connects

My favorite part of the vso connects was the masquerade ball that we did preparing for the masquerade ball wasn’t easy to play the grade five part, it was hard for a while. Making the masks was fun to. My favorite part about my mask was that it kind of looked liked a peacock with it’s feathers. Something else I liked about the vso connects was that we got to meet maestro Bramwell Tovey and hear him play the piano. My favorite piece was the rondo which lasted 90 seconds.
