BURNABY DISTRICT FESTIVAL OF DANCE is Monday, May 11th at Burnaby Mountain Secondary School.  Dancers please arrive by 6:30.  No tickets are required.

YEAR END DANCE SHOWCASE is Thursday, May 14th at Michael J. Fox Theatre.  Dancers please arrive by 6:00.  Theatre doors open at 6:45 for the audience.   Tickets can be purchased online.  Dancers do not need tickets.

Save the date….Divisions 1, 2 and 3 will be presenting “A Letter to Wanda” on Wednesday, December 3rd at 1:30 and 6:30.  Come join us in this heartfelt story of friendship, empathy, poverty, creativity and forgiveness.  This is an original opera written by Dr. Suzanne Windsor-Liscombe based on Eleanor Estes book “The Hundred Dresses.”

We are looking forward to our upcoming artist-in-residency with “Axe Capoeira” from December 2 – 6th.  Thank you to our wonderful PAC for supporting this learning opportunity for our students!

Check the BRIDGES tab up above.  It is a place to find information and reminders about our grade 6/7 opera, BRIDGES.  There are two upcoming performances on Feb. 29th.

Our extra-curricular choir is excited to host a guest from the Vancouver Chamber Choir on Thursday, October 26th.  Our special guest will rehearse with the choir at lunch.  This is part of Vancouver Chamber Choir’s OnSite program. (see below)

OnSite is designed for small groups of elementary and secondary school students and their teachers or supervisors. The program, provided free of charge, offers a unique learning environment for students and teachers through attendance at a rehearsal, interaction with the conductor and singers, and attendance at the relevant concert.  OnSite is not only an experience to treasure, but also a way of establishing and building a long-term relationship between a school and the Vancouver Chamber Choir.
