Dear Families,

This week, we have spent time doing winter artwork. We have continued to learn about patterns and numbers. We are working our way through the letters and sounds of the alphabet and have begun to explore early reading skills.

This upcoming week: The Grade 6/7 Leadership Team has planned a great week of events and spirit days to celebrate our last week of school before the break.

Monday: Holiday Spirit – Students are encouraged to wear festive clothing to school

Tuesday – Seasonal Giving – Students can bring non-perishable food for the food bank

Wednesday – Pajamas and Pancakes – PAC and Leadership students will be making pancakes throughout the morning. We will be going with our Buddy Class. Students are encouraged to wear pajamas and can bring a stuffy. If you have any questions about the pancakes please ask.   Report Cards will also be going home today.

Thursday – Winter Wonderland – Festive stations and activities in the gym. We will be going with Ms. Baker’s Red Kindergarten Team

Friday – Door decorating contest – Please stop by and see our classroom door. Unfortunately due to the fact that our door has student pictures, I am unable to post it on the blog but you will get a photo of the door in your child’s portfolio.

We have a new favourite song this week. We heard it in Music class with Ms. Rapp and have been listening to it frequently.

Have a lovely weekend,

Ms. Hutchinson
