Read “Gore” (p.3) together as a class.
Analysis sheet – complete together as a class to serve as an exemplar moving forwards in the unit.
English 11CW (Pd 2 &4):
Review Lit Circle Unit roles and portfolio criteria together as a class.
Lit Circle groups formed (by me).
Text selection in your lit circle groups; sign books out and update book cards.
Establish group roles, reading schedule and exchange contact information (in the event you miss a Lit Circle class, you will need to send your materials to one of your group members to present on your behalf).
Students will have a work block on Weds to do their reading AND prepare their lesson materials for their group’s portfolio. Lit Circle #1 is on Fri, Jan 31 at the beginning of the class.
English 12:
Peer editing class – students will read and edit someone else’s Chekhov essay.
Remainder class time to continue working on updated draft.
Students will have all class on Weds to complete the entire package for the process of writing project. Projects will be collected at the end of class on Weds. If you have an unexcused absence on Wednesday and you do not hand your work in on time, you will lose 10% per day 1 that your project is late.
