Dear Singers and Families:
We are definitely in “crunch” time for our school tour and District Concert! Please commit your songs to memory so we can simply polish everything during our final two rehearsals.
Here is some important information regarding our final time together in Corovoce.
Monday, April 21 – Easter Monday – NO CHOIR
Monday, April 28 – District Pro D Day – NO CHOIR! but….
Tuesday, April 29 – Rehearsal at Marlborough Elementary from 3;30 – 5:00
- please come if you can, otherwise our final rehearsal date is below.
- at this rehearsal I will also have t-shirts if you didn’t pick yours up yesterday.
- I will also have tickets for the May 12 concert.
- I will accept your consent forms for the school tour.
Monday, May 5 – Final Rehearsal at South Slope from 3;30 – 5:00
- all of the above PLUS….I need all your black music folders and music. If you forget, please drop them by South Slope asap, or ask your music teacher to send them through school mail.
Tuesday, May 6 – School Tour Day
- Meet at Seaforth at 8:30 a.m. with your “nut aware” lunch, water bottle, and smile!
- The bus will take us to all of our schools. Parents are welcome to come and watch a performance as long as they check in at the school office.
- You need to wear your t-shirts, black pants and shoes.
- Parents need to pick you up from Brantford at 3:00 p.m.
- I will reluctantly take your choir folders and music this day. lol I will probably have tickets on me as well.
Monday, May 12 – Spring Sing and Ring at Michael J Fox Theatre
- come to the theatre at 3;30 p.m.
- parents need to pick you up at 4:30 for a snack and a break
- be in the green room at MJF by 6:10.
- dress in your t-shirts, black pants and shoes.
- again, with great reluctance, I will take your choir folders.
Auditions for next year et al…..
- if you are in Corovoce now, you do not need to re-audition!
- if you have any friends from your school interested in joining our fantastic choir, please encourage them to talk to their music teacher and come to the audtions!
- Picollini students are automatically accepted into Corovoce, no audition necessary.
- If…and this is important….you are not returning to Corovoce next year, please send me an email. Otherwise, stay tuned for further information!
It has been a wonderful spring term with this amazing group of singers! You are all near and dear to my heart and I cannot wait for the world to hear you perform!
