Our students have worked hard to create their class charter.  These are the ideas and rules that were agreed upon by all the students in Division 8. The goal of a class charter is to help the children understand that as members of a class community, they have rights and responsibilities and that we all must work together to make our classroom community thrive!

Fall Leaf Art – Mixed Media

The children collected leaves from our school grounds, traced them, rubbed them and coloured using crayon.  The backgrounds were created using paint.  Using real leaves helped the children to create realistic images!

 

Warm and Cool Pumpkins

The children learned about warm vs. cool colours in this fall art project.  As a class we discussed the difference between the colours and the way warm and cool colours may connect to the way we feel.  We also discussed how some colours may complement one another.

The children were asked to create a warm or cool pumpkin using pastel, and then to create their painted backgrounds using the other.
