HOMEWORK:
a) Students are expected to hand homework in on the due date or the day they return to class.
b) If the student missed the lesson, than they will be given an extension that allows the student enough time to complete the assignment.
c) Students are expected to find out what homework they missed.
There are several ways; for example, look on the classroom blog, ask a friend, check the homework board in the classroom, go through their “While I was Away” folder that should be near their classroom bin.
If your son/daughter has not handed in their homework by the due date I will inform you by writing a note in their planner –unless the child has an understandable reason that he/she has discussed with me. If late, incomplete and/or missed assignments become a pattern for your child, I will be contacting you directly to discuss ways to better support your child.
If you have further questions or concerns about your child’s work or progress throughout the school year, please don’t hesitate to write a note in your child’s planner, to email me or to call the school and set up an appointment to discuss the matter with me.
