Hello Parents,   Buckingham will be hosting a Math Games night next week November 21st for parents of Grade 6 & 7 students to learn strategies for supporting math at home. The evening is being led by Burnaby Central High School teachers and student volunteers.  Students are also welcome to attend this event with their parents but are not required to. Hello Everyone, Today was our Remembrance Day Assembly and our grade 6/7 classes and intermediate choir performed wonderfully.  The students were calm under pressure, problem solved on the spot, spoke clearly and projected their voices.  Many teachers and parents were very impressed.  Everyone should be very proud of themselves, I know I am!   Ms. Wilson

Hello Everyone, Tomorrow is Halloween! As I’m sure you know we are having a Halloween assembly in the afternoon.  Parents are welcome to attend.  As a school we as that students come to school wearing regular clothing, and change into their costume right after lunch.  This reduces the chances of them getting ripped or ruined throughout the day.  If someones costume is rather intricate and complex and requires parent help we ask that you take your child home for lunch and assist them there to reduce safety concerns regarding unknown adults in the school etc.   Thanks so much! Hi Everyone,   We scare hunger is over on Thursday! Our class so far has brought the least amount of nonperishable food item for the food bank! Please try over the next few days to bring something in for the food bank! We all want an extra recess!   Ms. Wilson  

Hello Everyone,   Pumpkin patch day is tomorrow! Grade 7’s are responsible for setting up the pumpkins and running the stations in the gym.  Please make sure the grade 7’s are dressed as “farmers” tomorrow (jeans, plaid, flannels, bandannas etc.).  Please don’t forget a reusable bag to carry your pumpkin!   Ms. Wilson
