Week 15: Test on Thursday, June 2nd
- Heat energy – energy that provides warmth (e.g. candles, fire, etc.)
- Electricity – energy that powers devices
- Renewable Resources – sources of energy that can be used again and again
- Non-Renewable Resources – sources of energy that can run out after use
- Solar Power – energy that comes from the sun
- Solar Panels – put on roofs to gather energy from the sun
- Reflection – when light bounces off of a surface and back the way it came
- Refraction – when white light is split through a prism to show separate colours
- Circuits – closed, connected wires that allow energy to flow
- Potential Energy – stored energy that can be used, but hasn’t been used yet
