Dear Parents,

Today, we started off the day with reading a bit of “Wonder.” Then, I did a full lesson review of yesterday’s Math lesson, which involved:

-differentiating between parallel and non-parallel lines

-determining whether lines are perpendicular or just intersect (sides of shapes)

-naming and sorting 3D shapes (prisms, pyramids, etc.) by various attributes/characteristics

-determining the number of faces, edges, and vertices a 3D shape has

-naming shapes based on the vertex/corner letters

-differentiating between 2D and 3D shapes

-naming sides in a shape based on the letter of the corners

I think that this review helped the students with our introduction to Geometry a lot, as there was quite a bit of confusion yesterday.

After, students had snack and went to Music.

After Music, we had DPA and then voted for our Easter movie tomorrow. Then, we went to the library.

After lunch, students did a quiet activity, then we had our Easter Egg hunt 🙂 It was a lot of fun! Some of the eggs were quite challenging to find which was fun 🙂

Then, we had a fire drill practice.

At the very end of the day, we worked more on our personal narrative planning and narrowing down our topics to write about in order to practice composing stories. We also worked on placing exciting adjectives into sentences.

I will not be here tomorrow, so there will be no blog post, but I hope you all have a wonderful Easter long weekend 🙂

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
