Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with students doing a few questions of long division which we later took up on the board as well as partner reading. Then, we talked about what would be on the Math Test on Tuesday and students wrote these topics down. We also talked about subtracting decimals to hundredths and students also completed textbook work for the Show What You Know.

The textbook work is:

Unit 5: Lesson 14: pages 214-215 #1-6, 8-9

Show What You Know: pages 216-217 #1-14

 

Then, we had snack and recess. After recess, students wrote down their weekend journal prompt. They are to write a story or about a parallel universe where their life is almost the same, but there’s something that’s a bit different or very different. Then, they completed the learning survey and then did typing on the laptops.

Following lunch, we wrote our introductions for our fictional stories that we are working on. Students used their strategy sheets from the other day to help them construct their introductions. After, students wrote their planners and then had Community Time. Then, they cleaned up.
