Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with Math Minute practice and we did an introduction to long division & double by single-digit multiplication. Then, we talked about unit fractions as being fractions with 1 as the numerator. We talked about how when the numerator is 1, when the denominator is larger, the pieces/fraction gets smaller. Then, students were assigned page 192 #1-6 for homework. We edited a bit of a literacy sheet today for grammar and punctuation as well.

Then, students had recess, snack, and extra DPA as their reward for good behaviour.

After, we talked more about spring and neap tides and students completed a page in their moon booklets about the corresponding moon phases during spring and neap tides and matched vocabulary. They handed these in for me to mark.

Following lunch, students worked on their persuasive writing, which is due tomorrow in rough copy format.

Then, we had DPA and students worked on their optical illusion art.

Please have your child bring a grocery bag to bring their things home for March Break.

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks

    1. Hi Maya, We don’t have spring break homework on fractions, but I can post some games on the blog for practice 🙂 I’ll make a page for it. Awww, you’re so sweet!
