Dear Parents,

Today, the students continued to work on their knitting one-on-one with our lovely parent volunteers 🙂 We are looking forward to starting our Christmas knitting projects well in advance of Christmas, so that we can all have ours finished before the holidays!

We also went over our new spelling words for the spelling test next week Thursday – November 21st!

  1. Frenzy – wild excitement
  2. Brisk – cold but refreshing, can also mean quick
  3. Puny – tiny, very small
  4. Hoisted – to lift or raise something up
  5. Shield – protective armour that knights would hold
  6. Transform – to change in appearance or form
  7. Squirm – wriggle e.g. like a worm
  8. Suffice – to be good enough
  9. Misery – to be very sad or of great discomfort
  10. Parched – very thirsty

Today, the students worked on colouring pages for working on their automaticity in multiplication. I really want the students to be able to complete this sheet WITHOUT the use of calculators as calculators will not be allowed for the test at the end of this unit and I believe it is important to have automaticity in multiplication equations.

Then, the students went to Music.

Ms. McIntosh came in for the afternoon because I had an appointment. Their only homework today is the Math colouring sheet due tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Ms. Wilks
