Dear Parents,

Today, we started off the day with a Mystery Object Activity. I drew a line on the board and students had to use creative thinking to create a drawing of what the object might be. The results were awesome! Then, students watched a read-aloud of more of James and the Giant Peach.

After, we did the Wordle and had snack and recess.

Following recess, we played Scribblio (which is basically dictionary online) with students’ old spelling words + a few of my own words. It went well for the most part and kids seemed to have fun. After, we talked about mental health, strategies to use if struggling, and we discussed that students should ask for help if they believe they need it. They also set personal goals to improve their own mental health.

After lunch, students did typing, cleaned up, had DPA, and went to Music.

Reminder: Class Picnic on Thursday (the more parents to help walk/supervise, the better!) – Students can bring pre-packaged snacks for others as long as they have enough for the whole class.
