Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with reading more of James and the Giant Peach and then students completed a double by single digit multiplication worksheet. After, we did an experiment called “Fizz Inflator” by using vinegar and baking soda, we were able to inflate a balloon (using the created CO2 gas). Students recorded their predictions, drew diagrams, and recorded the results. We talked a bit about acids and bases.
Then, we had snack and recess.
Following recess, students answered some questions about things that used electricity in their own homes and why it is important to conserve energy. Then, students continued their foil artwork or they started a new optical illusion by following a tutorial video.
After lunch, students worked on Book Creator and then we had an assembly. After the assembly, students did some mindfulness exercises and then had free time.
Reminder: Read 30 minutes today 🙂
Have a good night!
