Dear Parents,

Today, we started off the day by starting our new art project – foil art. Then, we did some double by single digit multiplication online games and we completed one of the worksheets. Students completed as much as they could in 7 minutes and then we took it up. After, we had snack and recess.

Following recess, we did our Battle of the Bridges competition. Students were given the same materials (some straws, elastics, pipe cleaners, and popsicle sticks) and were given around 10 minutes to construct their bridges. They had criteria to follow: it had to be at least 15 cm across and be able to hold weights while being freestanding. We recorded how many grams each one held for at least 3 seconds. Excellent job to all the groups! Then, Ms. Varley came in and did an Art activity with them.

After lunch, students worked on their stories on Book Creator and then we had DPA. Following DPA, we finished the boat competition and did our Marshmallow towers ADST challenge. We were testing for which one could hold the most weight and which one was the tallest.
