Dear Parents,
Today, we started out with having a Pop Health Quiz on Smoking & Addictions that went toward students’ mark for their report card. All students did very well! Yay 🙂
Then, students had time to work on their Trading Post designs and then we had a little Math graphing competition. Students in pairs answered questions on whiteboards corresponding to reading and creating graphs.
Then, we had snack and recess. Following recess, we watched an assembly on Zoom and then students watched a bit of Bill Nye’s video on Matter, as this is our next unit.
After lunch, students did their Literature Circle meetings. I found that a lot of students either did not complete their role or they forgot their sheet at home or had lost it. Since the quiz is tomorrow, students should really be taking this process seriously. Consequently, I let students who had finished their work prior to today’s class have some free time and had the rest of the students with incomplete work (or left at home) study/review their novel for the quiz tomorrow.
Then, students did their planners, cleaned up, and went to Music.
As well, rugs are due tomorrow. Students have been given lots of time to work on it over the past 1.5-2 months.
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
