Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with going over SMART goals as part of Career. We talked about each facet of SMART goals and how to write strong short-term and long-term goals. I hope students will take these goals seriously and commit to working toward them. Then, students worked on their surveys – they surveyed the class with a tally chart after I re-demonstrated how to complete a tally chart.
After snack and recess, students went to their designated classroom to survey another class of students in order to have a larger amount of data. I am excited to see what the students can infer from their findings.
Then, students had time to work on their rugs for Art (due June 1st) and then we went over the explorers Jacques Cartier and Samuel de Champlain. Students have an Explorers Test for Social Studies next Thursday, May 26th. I will be going over the review for this on Friday this week so students know exactly what to study.
Following lunch, students had their Literature Circle Meeting #2. Their third meeting is going to be on Thursday. Students need to prepare for this at home by completing their reading and role.
Then, students did planners, cleaned up, had DPA, and went to Music.
Have a good night!
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
