Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with students working on their Animal Adaptations projects. Their project links are actually on this blog. Students have their passwords to access their individual links in their green Science/SS folders. After, we had snack and then recess.

Following recess, students worked with a partner to practice for their Student-led conferences tomorrow. I have sent an email out about this with details about how it will work. Then, students watched a read-aloud of some of James and the Giant Peach. Then, Ms. Varley came and did some activities with the kids.

After lunch, students explored Book Creator. It is an online website where you can make and design your own books online. Students looked up spelling corrections that I edited and are typing their stories online that they wrote for our fictional story unit. They seemed to be having a lot of fun exploring this website.

Then, we went outside for DPA and students had time to work on their Literature Circles #1 work in advance of their meeting tomorrow. Students need to have finished their assigned reading and role worksheet before tomorrow.

Homework: Literature Circles #1 Reading & Role worksheet due tomorrow and read for 30 minutes tonight.
