Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with students handing in their Moon Books (these need to be handed in tomorrow to be marked as completed). Then, we had our Moon Phases, Tides, and Earth Movement quiz. Students who were present today have already seen their marks and they will go up on Fresh Grade likely on Thursday after everyone has written it as some students were absent.

Then, we talked about adding decimals. We discussed how we need to line up the decimal points when adding numbers. We also talked about how to estimate to find the sums of decimals as well. The homework for today is pages 207-208 #1-10 and is homework if not done.

After, we had snack and recess and I did a desk check. Following recess, we talked about different types of bullying and students had to fill in strategies for dealing with bullying or uncomfortable situations. Then, I showed students how to practice a skill for our next art project – we are doing latchhook rugs 🙂 It’s one of my favourite projects of the year.

Following lunch, students did their Daily 5 stations, did planners, cleaned up, had DPA, and then went to Music.

Students are expected to have their story plan booklet done by tomorrow. Spelling Test is on Thursday.

New Update: Math Unit 5 Test is on Monday, April 11th.
