Dear Parents,
Today, we started off with our Math Minute and going over an “Edit the Paragraph” worksheet to work on our grammar and punctuation. After, we took up some questions from the Math work and then I talked about how to write fractions for sets: e.g. if I have 20 circles, and 6 of them are red, the fraction would be 6 out of 20 or 6/20. We talked about the denominator and numerator again and then students were assigned page 181-182 #1-9. It is homework if it was not finished today.
After, we had snack and recess. Following recess, we played some Moon phase games to review. They are here if students want to use them to practice.

Then, students did two readings in their Moon Booklets on Moon Phases and the Movements of the Earth and then answered some comprehension/understanding questions. This is homework if not finished in class.
After, students continued to work on their Optical Illusion Art.
Following lunch, we did our Daily 5 stations, planners, cleaned up, and then students had DPA and went to Music.
Reminder: Spelling Test on Thursday.
Have a good night!
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
