Dear Parents,
I hope you had a great Family Day long weekend 🙂 Today, we started off with our Math Test. I have marked them and will be posting them on Fresh Grade later today, except for 2 tests because of some missed questions I want to go over with 2 students tomorrow.
Then, we did a desk check, students had snack, and then recess.
After recess, we went over our new spelling words (also posted on the spelling page of this blog – new spelling test on Thursday, March 3rd) and we talked about Pink Shirt Day and standing up against homophobia and bullying. Students are encouraged to wear a pink shirt or accessory tomorrow (or red shirt if no pink shirt already owned) to stand in support.
Then, Scott came in and did a lesson on coping strategies an talking about various ways to cope with different emotions and states of well-being.
After lunch, we did our Daily 5 stations, planners, cleaned up, had a short DPA, and then students went to Music.
Have a good night!
Sincerely,
Ms. Wilks
