Today, we started off with our Math Minute. Then, we did a few games to review telling time. I highly recommend for students to look up some games to practice independently at home. Then, students worked on pages 136-137 (Lesson 3 of Unit 4) #1-8. It is due tomorrow if students have not finished at school. Then, we did a round of Blooket on telling time as well, which was a lot of fun 🙂

After, we had recess and then snack. During snack, I showed students how to make an effective Powerpoint. Students should remember not to include too much text on their slides, not to read off of their slides, how to use fonts that are easy to read, etc.

Students can access their PowerPoint via Google Slides at home by:

1. Going to Microsoft Teams (Login email and password have been emailed to parents previously)

Username/Email Login is: their student number@edu.burnabyschools.ca

example: 12345789@edu.burnabyschools.ca

Password: their computer password to login at school

2. Click their group’s link to their Google Slides.

3. Edit away 🙂

Students are presenting on Tuesday and should be ready to do so on time.

 

After lunch, we worked on editing our letters to our buddies to write our good copies. This will help students to edit their work and learn from my corrections as well.

Then, we read another Indigenous story and mapped the story plot out on a story plot mountain.
