Dear Parents,

Today, we started off with a Math pop quiz. Again, this is a progress quiz that doesn’t count on their report cards, but will show students what they should study over Christmas break. If your child did not do very well on the quiz, they are encouraged to practice A LOT over Winter Break in order to catch up for the Unit Test in early January (date to be determined).

Then, we had our pancakes and students worked on some Multiplication and Division Word Problems.

Following that, we had snack and then students watched “Hotel Transylvania 3” during recess time and we continued this at lunch time.

After snack, students continued watching the movie and made cards of their buddies. Then, Scott came in and did a further lesson on the mood meter and identifying different feelings for different colours of zones.

After lunch, we set up our drama backdrop with the crafts the students had made for it as the skit will be tomorrow. Students are reminded to come in or bring their costume tomorrow as we will be filming tomorrow during the day!

Unfortunately, Ms. Sakic had to come and have a talk with the class about lunch time rules. She also told the kids that if this keeps happening and people feel unsafe, then individual students might have to be sent home for lunch or go and eat in the office. Please review appropriate behaviour at lunchtime with your child when they are not being supervised.

Then, students wrote their planners, cleaned up, and went to Music.

Tomorrow is the last day for Food Donations and students are reminded the skit is tomorrow and to bring a labeled grocery bag with their name on it before Friday.
