Dear Parents,

Today, we had our spelling test. I have already handed them back and will be posting them on Fresh Grade. Then, students had community time. After DPA, students started up their computers. I talked a bit about the stop motion project we will be doing starting next week for ADST. I showed them my example that I made yesterday too.

After, students went for outside time with Ms. Parkes substitute. Then, students worked on researching the three types of rocks and drawing out examples. They also analyzed what was common between the rocks in each type. After, I introduced the idea of heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures and we watched a short video on the difference between the two.

After lunch, I read some of the novel and students had time to work on the rough copy of their “Wonder” writing which is due on Monday.

Students” final book creator books are due next week Thursday as well.

The weekend journal for this weekend is: write down your three favourite memories of your Grade 4/5 year.
